Welcome to My Primary Care Membership

Dear Patient,

I’m excited to share news about a change to my medical practice coming in August of 2026.

In 2021, I left my role as a primary care doctor to become a consultant in Integrative Medicine. Since that time - for three years with Endeavor Health and almost two years in private practice - I have worked with patients in the role of consultant, using the tools of integrative and functional medicine to develop personalized treatment approaches for a range of conditions. This work has brought me tremendous joy.

But I miss being a primary care doctor. I miss being the person you call when you’re scared, when something unexpected happens and you need guidance, or when you need to talk about routine health screenings and prevention. I miss being the point person who talks to your other doctors, who keeps the big picture in mind, while remembering details about you that can make the difference between, “I’m confused and I don’t feel good” and “I understand and feel optimistic about what comes next.”

So in August of 2026, Baxley Family Medicine will change from a consultation service to a membership-based primary care practice.

Membership with my practice will include:

  • Annual wellness visits and routine follow up visits as needed

  • Lengthy appointments - you won’t feel rushed

  • Same-day/next-day availability for urgent needs

  • Emphasis on root cause, wellness, and prevention

  • Guidance on the safe, judicious use of integrative and complementary modalities, including botanicals, nutraceuticals, acupuncture, and mind-body practices.

  • Coordination of care -I will help you navigate care in a complex health-care system.

  • Collaboration with talented nutrition professionals and health coaches

For those of you who have already worked with me, we’ll continue to have rich discussions about integrative approaches to health problems. We’ll decide which strategies for navigating aging and hormonal transitions are right for you. And now I can be your primary care physician.

For those I haven’t met, I look forward to learning about you. An intake visit involves hearing about your childhood, your patterns with regards to sleep, food, and movement, and about what makes you feel connected to joy and purpose.

Truly,
